Stickers
Since version 0.13, every run of Baldi’s Basics Plus can be shaped a little differently thanks to stickers. They took over from the old end-of-level grades and turned upgrades into choices: one player goes for a bigger inventory, another for a fatter YTP balance, a third for a quicker exit. Here is where stickers come from, how you put them on, when they fall off and how to pick the right ones for your run.
From pack to pad
Your You Can Think Pad has room for four stickers on its back side. Whatever sits there is active, and the bonus lasts for as long as the sticker stays on.
| Stage | Where and how |
|---|---|
| Get a pack | Johnny sells sticker packs alongside his items |
| Unwrap it | The new stickers land in your collection |
| Stick one on | Go to a Packet-O-Matic; there is one in the store and one in the Pitstop |
| See what you have on | From 0.13.1, the map menu lists your active stickers whenever you need a reminder |
Looking is possible anywhere, but swapping happens only at a Packet-O-Matic. If you skipped this part of the game, the tutorial has covered stickers since 0.13.1.
When a sticker falls off
- Normal slot: the sticker stays until you finish the level it was applied on. Getting caught by Baldi doesn’t knock it off.
- Glued slot: put a Glue Stick on a slot and it keeps its sticker from that point until the run ends.
- Endless mode: here the clock is notebooks, not levels. A sticker is good for five of them, and a small counter beside it shows what is left.
There is no “remove” button. The only way to get rid of a sticker is to cover it with another one, and whatever was underneath is gone for good. Be careful with your best stickers.
Doubling up
Copies of the same sticker add together, so two of a kind give a stronger bonus than one. Your collection shows how many of each you own. In practice, a second copy of a sticker you already rely on usually beats an unknown new one, and it shines most in a glued slot that stays for the whole run.
Stickers with confirmed effects
The first sticker update shipped eighteen of them. The developer’s notes spell out what these ones do:
| Sticker | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Backpack | One more slot in your inventory |
| YTP Multiplier | A quarter more YTPs on everything you earn |
| Cash Register | Puts a Johnny’s Store inside the level itself |
| Distance Bonus | YTPs that depend on the distance between you and Baldi |
| Elevator Gears | An elevator lets you out even while others are still in working order |
Two more names appear in the patch notes, Ear Muffs and Hourglass; the second one has to do with the level timer. For exact numbers, check each sticker’s description in the game, since values can shift from update to update.
Endless mode has two exceptions: Bonus Sticker Packs don’t show up there, and one stealth-related sticker was taken out of Endless before the 0.13 release after players found an exploit.
Picking your four
Four slots is not much, so think in terms of the whole run rather than the next few minutes.
| If you want… | Look for |
|---|---|
| Room for more items | Backpack, ideally two of them |
| A bigger YTP balance | YTP Multiplier and Distance Bonus |
| A shop in the middle of a level | Cash Register |
| A faster way out | Elevator Gears for floors with several elevators |
Money stickers pay off best when you get them early, because every later level adds to the total. That only works if they survive, so a YTP Multiplier without glue is a one-level bonus.
A simple plan
- Open your first pack soon. A sticker applied on level 2 works on more levels than one applied on level 4.
- Protect the keeper. Spend a Glue Stick on the slot holding your Backpack or YTP Multiplier.
- Rotate the rest. Leave the other slots for short-term picks, like Elevator Gears ahead of a floor with many elevators.
- Collect pairs. When you can choose, a duplicate of a proven sticker is the safer bet.
Goodbye, grades
Runs before 0.13 ended each level with a time bonus and a letter grade. That system is gone entirely. Stickers took its place, and a few of them now pay YTPs when a level ends. So if an old video promises rewards for an A+, it is describing a version you can no longer play.
FAQ
Does getting caught cost me my stickers?
No. A lost power tube leaves your stickers where they are. In a normal slot they only come off once you clear the level.
How do I make a sticker last the whole run?
Glue its slot with a Glue Stick. From then on that slot keeps its sticker until the run is over.
Can I take a sticker off?
Not directly. You can only stick a different one over it, and the old sticker is lost.
Packs and Glue Sticks cost YTPs, and our guide to Johnny’s Store & YTPs shows the best ways to earn them. For the bigger picture, read How to Beat Hide & Seek, then try your first sticker setup from the home page.
